Hello there, My name is Damien and I am a beautiful Lynx Point Siamese crossed with a Maine Coon. I am a very big boy!
I have had a lot of change in my life recently. I was adopted from my foster home about four years ago and was recently returned through no fault of my own. I am hoping that my next home will be my forever home.
I am great with other cats and great with dogs. I am not scared of big or little dogs (after all, I am quite a big boy myself). I am very good with other cats, I don't even hiss at them when I first meet them. I am a very confident boy and would love some animal companions in my forever home.
I am like a king, my foster parents laugh because I am so dramatic. I roll over on my back and show my big fluffy tummy to the world.
I LOVE scratching towers where I can climb up on them and crawl inside of them. I like to watch out the windows and look at the birdies fly by. That is probably my favorite thing. I am a pretty relaxed boy, my foster parents say that I am just awesome. I am very good at using my scratching posts, they have some cardboard ones for me and the carpeted towers and I use them all. I haven't used anything that I am not supposed to. However, I do like to open closet and cupboard doors and climb into them to nap. So if you have anything in cupboards that I shouldn't access, it would be best to lock those away somewhere.
I am perfectly litter trained. My foster parents think it is funny because I am such a big boy that I only keep my back end up in the box and my front legs out of the box. I am very clean.
While I would do great in a home with other animals, it would probably be best that there are no small kids in the home. I do love cuddles and pets, however, I am the type of cat where things are more on my terms. Sometimes especially when I am getting used to new people, if I am done being pet, I will give people a smack to let them know that I am done being pet. If this is something that you will not tolerate, please do not apply. I do not mean to hurt anyone, but my foster parents say that sometimes this can hurt. Cats should not be punished and if someone thinks they can punish me to treat me otherwise, things may escalate and we would not be a good match for each other.
I don't mind being held, I like cuddles and I like to sleep with my foster parents. But I also love to explore the house. I am not a shy cat by any means. I do like to go inside of the towers but I don't hide, I do this because I like to sleep in there from time to time, I am always out and about. I am a very smart boy.
If you would like to meet me, I am located in Kalamazoo, please consider this before applying to adopt me as you must adopt me from my foster home. My foster moms email is email@example.com if you would like to email her if you would like to learn more about me.
I hope to meet you soon!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.
Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.
Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
