Thank you for visiting Last Day Dog Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) organization with a simple mission - saving animals. A no-kill rescue based in Livonia with foster homes across Michigan. We take in these beautiful transient creatures and do our very best to provide them with safety, medical care, and LOVE. Since 2007 saving thousands of dogs and cats. While we openly take in puppies and dogs who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely not saved without our help. We were founded on the principle that all life is precious, regardless of breed, appearance, or age. Please consider adopting one of our dogs, puppies, cats or kittens. See all the Dogs!
My name is Deejay.  I was living in a crate in a pole barn when my foster family met me. I'm very playful and very, very smart! I've learned lots of tricks already! I settle down nicely and love to cuddle. I’m dog selective, with larger dogs after slow introductions in a yard. I would do best in a home with older children. I will be best with a fence so I can run. A rural area would more about Deejay
Dempsey was returned after 9 years due to his owner moving into assisted living. He is now 11 yrs old and finds himself looking for a home, once again, to finish out his golden years. Dempsey is still very young at heart and enjoys long walks. He is housetrained and does not get into anything that does not belong to him. He wants nothing more than to be around others, whether you are running more about Dempsey
  Stewart - Rf Litter
My name is Stewart but I go by Dexter now. After being adopted for almost 9 years, I have been returned to LDDR out of no fault of my own. My foster mom says I am just the sweetest thing there is. I'd like to do some light play but mostly I just want to be with you to snuggle the days away. I really need a home to finish out my golden years comfortably. I'm a pretty mellow guy and I do pretty more about Stewart - Rf Litter

I’m Ellie, a sweet, affectionate girl who is on a journey to find my forever home.  I was rescued from an abandoned yard and am so excited to have an opportunity to find a family that I can love. Training and trust have been key on the road to my transformation from orphan to loyal companion. I’m learning how more about Ellie

He needs a home with no other pets and no kids. Picasso is a shy boy when it comes to new visitors so he will need a quiet home with very little traffic. He is crate trained, up to date on shots, neutered and house more about Picasso - Ok Litter

My name is Cliff but I go by the name Monty. I was adopted as a puppy but had to be returned after 6 wonderful years with my family. I am so confused and would love to have a home to call my own again. I am a nice boy and I love to play ball in the yard. I like to think that I am the perfect mix of play and couch potato! Seniors For Seniors

Did you know that Last Day Dog Rescue has a "Seniors For Seniors" program? Animal lovers 60 years and over can adopt a select senior dog 8 years old and over for only $35! These very special dogs have won the hearts of shelter staff and our volunteers and we are sure they will win yours over, too!

As with all our dogs, we will also take our animals back in the event of an emergency or illness. So please tell all your senior friends! There is no reason to live alone without the love and devotion of a furever friend.
