Thank you for visiting Last Day Dog Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) organization with a simple mission - saving animals. A no-kill rescue based in Livonia with foster homes across Michigan. We take in these beautiful transient creatures and do our very best to provide them with safety, medical care, and LOVE. Since 2007 saving thousands of dogs and cats. While we openly take in puppies and dogs who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely not saved without our help. We were founded on the principle that all life is precious, regardless of breed, appearance, or age. Please consider adopting one of our dogs, puppies, cats or kittens. See all the Dogs!
My name is Deejay.  I'm playful and very, very smart! I've learned lots of tricks already! I settle down nicely and love to cuddle. I’m dog selective so a home with no other dogs would be best for me but I may be okay with some dogs after a very slow introduction. I would do best in a home with older children and no cats. I would love to show you how cute I am, if you are willing to more about Deejay
  Stewart - Rf Litter
Stewart is a super sweet and loving senior who is looking for a home where his family will be home most of the time. He loves to snuggle, be with his people as much as possible and put his head in your lap and wait for pets. He also likes to roll around on his back to get a good scratch in the mornings. He is good with calm kid visitors but will not be able to live with young children. He is a more about Stewart - Rf Litter
  Lodge - Ct Litter
Charlie aka Lodge is a very loving dog (he still thinks he is a puppy). He greets you at the door very happily and excitedly. Charlie is potty trained and know to scratch at the door to let you know he needs to go outside. He knows how to sit, high five (shake) with both paws, and can catch his treats in mid air. If you are looking for a cuddle, he is the right choice! He will snuggle right up more about Lodge - Ct Litter
  Frasier ♥
We are looking for a home for Frasier that has no other dogs or cats not because he doesn’t get along with them but because he needs to remain calm for the next few months. Frasier has tested positive for heartworm and is in the process of going through treatment. The cost of his treatment is fully covered by the recuse. His “calm” period will go through, at least, the end of more about Frasier ♥
Do you have an empty spot at the foot of your bed? Baskin would love to fill the empty spot in your home and your bed! Baskin is 15 month  old and that loves to play with his squeaky toys. Baskin can have a large 4 legged submissive playmate. However, his priority is to snuggle with his humans. He has free roam in his foster home. He rarely has accidents in the house. Dempsey was returned after 9 years due to his owner moving into assisted living. He is now 11 yrs old and finds himself looking for a home, once again, to finish out his golden years. Dempsey is still very young at heart and enjoys long walks. He is housetrained and does not get into anything that does not belong to him. He wants nothing more than to be around others, whether you are running more about Dempsey
“A dark eyed beauty with a smile all her own.” Hi! I’m Ellie, a sweet, affectionate girl who is on a journey to find my forever home.  I was rescued from an abandoned yard and am so excited to have an opportunity to find a family that I can love. Training and trust have been key on the road to my transformation from orphan to loyal companion. I’m learning how more about Ellie

Seniors For Seniors

Did you know that Last Day Dog Rescue has a "Seniors For Seniors" program? Animal lovers 60 years and over can adopt a select senior dog 8 years old and over for only $35! These very special dogs have won the hearts of shelter staff and our volunteers and we are sure they will win yours over, too!

As with all our dogs, we will also take our animals back in the event of an emergency or illness. So please tell all your senior friends! There is no reason to live alone without the love and devotion of a furever friend.
