ADOPT A PET FROM LAST DAY DOG RESCUE

Thank you for visiting Last Day Dog Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) organization with a simple mission - saving animals. A no-kill rescue based in Livonia with foster homes across Michigan. We take in these beautiful transient creatures and do our very best to provide them with safety, medical care, and LOVE. Since 2007 saving thousands of dogs and cats. While we openly take in puppies and dogs who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely not saved without our help. We were founded on the principle that all life is precious, regardless of breed, appearance, or age. Please consider adopting one of our dogs, puppies, cats or kittens.   Deejay
My name is Deejay.  I was living in a crate in a pole barn when my foster family met me. I'm very playful and very, very smart! I've learned lots of tricks already! I settle down nicely and love to cuddle. I’m dog selective, with larger dogs after slow introductions in a yard. I would do best in a home with older children. I will be best with a fence so I can run. A rural area would be...read more about Deejay
  Lodge - Ct Litter
Charlie aka Lodge is a very loving dog (he still thinks he is a puppy). He greets you at the door very happily and excitedly. Charlie is potty trained and know to scratch at the door to let you know he needs to go outside. He knows how to sit, high five (shake) with both paws, and can catch his treats in mid air. If you are looking for a cuddle, he is the right choice! He will snuggle right up nex...read more about Lodge - Ct Litter

Osgood has come along way in his young life. He came to us very malnourished from a high kill shelter in Texas. He had many health concerns that he had to overcome; he is now feeling good and is looking for a forever home. Osgood can be a little timid but loves to sit on your lap once he warms up. He likes to play and to snuggle. He gets along well with cats and older kids we are unsure a...read more about St Litter Osgood
  St Litter Larkin
Larkin came to us from a high kill shelter in Texas. He is a little timid but loves to lay in your lap once he warms up. He does well with cats and older children, we are unsure about dogs at this time.
  Muffin
She is a lab mix about 45lbs. She is mostly black with white fur on her chest, her feet and the tip of her tail. She is very cute and sweet. She loves to cuddle and play with toys. She is good at fetching, she will even sometimes jump and catch things mid-air. She LOVES walks. She smells everything and loves leaf piles. She does well with kids (my son is 8 and they play and do well together) I...read more about Muffin
  Zt Litter Maeby
Meet Maeby! This girl is happy, energetic and loves playing with her brother. She really wants to play with our older dogs and does the cutest little play bows and shenanigans to get them interested (they have not wanted to play). She is very enthusiastic and can get carried away with the “love bites,” but we are working on redirecting her energy to non-human chewtoys.  Also sh...read more about Zt Litter Maeby

Meet George Michael! This boy is happy, energetic and loves playing with his sister. He really wants to play with our older dogs and does the cutest little play bows and shenanigans to get them interested (they have not wanted to play). Seniors For Seniors

Did you know that Last Day Dog Rescue has a "Seniors For Seniors" program? Animal lovers 60 years and over can adopt a select senior dog 8 years old and over for only $35! These very special dogs have won the hearts of shelter staff and our volunteers and we are sure they will win yours over, too!

As with all our dogs, we will also take our animals back in the event of an emergency or illness. So please tell all your senior friends! There is no reason to live alone without the love and devotion of a furever friend.
