Thank you for visiting Last Day Dog Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) organization with a simple mission - saving animals. A no-kill rescue based in Livonia with foster homes across Michigan. We take in these beautiful transient creatures and do our very best to provide them with safety, medical care, and LOVE. Since 2007 saving thousands of dogs and cats. While we openly take in puppies and dogs who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely not saved without our help. We were founded on the principle that all life is precious, regardless of breed, appearance, or age. Please consider adopting one of our dogs, puppies, cats or kittens. Harley is a fun, happy, lively little tail wagger of only 45 pounds. She is a terrier mix with possibly some bull terrier in her. Harley is very affectionate and is happiest when she is cuddling with you and actually touching you. I think she would be better with older children than with real young ones. She would enjoy a fenced yard where she could run and play. Harley is housebroken and tells more about Harley
Zuki (short for Zucchini) is an energetic and playful little girl! She is happy chasing balls or snuggling her favorite human. She is very lively, with a personality so much larger than she is!   She is wary of strangers and a great watchdog who is devoted to her family. Around other dogs she is very jealous and would do best with some training to help her get along with all doggy pals. Her more about Zuki
Hi, I'm Rocko! I like to spend time outside and take naps on the couch. I do go in my crate when no one is home and I try to be a good boy but sometimes I whine for a minute because I would rather be on the couch. I am housetrained and I am a smart boy. I know sit, stay, shake, come and lay down. I only chew on my things like toys and bones. I really like to cuddle and to watch tv with my people. more about Rocko
Laika is a sweet girl who loves her humans very much. She isnt a huge fan of her crate, but she is pretty good about not chewing on inappropriate items. And she loves to sleep in bed with her person. She is potty trained, but does occassionally have an accident. She need to be with an owner who is committed to training her, as she still jumps up on people, and gets overly aroused on leash. more about Laika

Seniors For Seniors

Did you know that Last Day Dog Rescue has a "Seniors For Seniors" program? Animal lovers 60 years and over can adopt a select senior dog 8 years old and over for only $35! These very special dogs have won the hearts of shelter staff and our volunteers and we are sure they will win yours over, too!

As with all our dogs, we will also take our animals back in the event of an emergency or illness. So please tell all your senior friends! There is no reason to live alone without the love and devotion of a furever friend.
