Description:
Arabella is a very sweet girl. Although she is blind in one eye, from a previous injury, that doesn't stop her from being able to catch treats or toys. She is a little tentative when she first meets you, but once she trusts you she is the sweetest most loving dog you can imagine. She is looking for a family with patience and calmness to help her acclimate into a loving home. Arabella would like to live with another dog in a home with a fenced in yard where she can run and play. She has done well with older children 10 and up, but I would not recommend her for younger children due to her shyness. She is house broken. She is a very smart girl that learns best through treat motivation. She has learned the commands sit and come, and is learning to walk nicely on leash. She is very athletic and can easily jump a chained-link fence, so will need to be supervised when she is outside. She does not like being crated, but has done well when being left out alone, mostly just choosing to lounge on the couch. Although she enjoys walks, and playing with our other dogs, for the most part she is mellow and does not require a high energy home. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
