Description:
Hello. My name is Margaret and I was born on October 2, 2015.  Volunteers were on their way to get my mom when she went into labor.  The first puppy in our litter was born at   10:00 am .  We were all safely delivered by   3pm   that afternoon.  My mom did a great job with us.  She cleaned us all up and got us to nurse right away.  We had a big adventure that afternoon.  We went from Detroit, to the vet in Okemos, to our foster home in Owosso.  It was a long car ride but everyone did great.

We had our first meal on Halloween.  It was ground up puppy food which turned our noses and paws orange.  So we were little pumpkins for Halloween.  We are learning to play with each other and with toys.  We love cuddles with our foster mom and dad and our siblings.  We are developing our own personalities.  The boys are louder than the girls and a little bigger too!

Our mom has a family she will be going back to after we are old enough to be adopted.  Her humans wanted to make sure us pit bull puppies were placed with good families.  My foster mom lives far away from civilization in a city called Owosso, Michigan.  She will be doing a meet & greet for potential adopters when we turn 6 weeks old.  Because we are not vaccinated that young, we cannot meet your other fur-kids.  You are welcome to bring children to the meet & great but remind them that no one will be able to take the puppies home.  LDDR has an adoption process and even if you are a pre-approved adopter, you will not be allowed to take the puppy home following the meet & greet.  My foster mom also adopted from LDDR and knows that it is hard not to be allowed to adopt on the spot.  However, she hopes you understand that LDDR has these policies in place to protect the dogs and the adopters.

My foster mom will be contacting you via email once your application is processed and your vet check is completed.  Please look for LDDR in the subject line.

Applicants that are willing to enroll their puppy in obedience classes will receive preference.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
