Description:
Fredo or Fred as we like to call him is a very sweet, friendly, and smart puppy. He and his littermates were all rescued from a life of fighting and he is looking for a loving family to call his own. Fredo currently lives with his foster family of 3 and his litter brother Michael. Mike is Fredo’s best friend and they do almost everything together. Their favorite activities are wrestling, tug of war, and chase. Fred also loves playing with his human family, cuddling, and getting pets. Fred’s favorite toy is his bone which he is very proud of, and likes to strut around to show off to everyone. He has also recently learned to play fetch with his bone. Fred is crate trained, almost house trained, and knows a few commands like sit, shh, and “snacks” which means come. He is leash trained and loves to go for long walks by himself or with his brother Mike. Fredo is very smart but this also causes him to test boundaries and get himself and his brother into trouble. He does learn quickly though what is expected of him and what is and isn’t allowed. Fredo loves all people and dogs and is eager to say hello and get pets. He however can sometimes be an attention hog and wants to get pet whenever he sees someone else getting pet. Fred needs someone who can continue to work on this with him and help him realize he isn’t always the center of attention. He has plenty of puppy energy and enjoys spending his day running around outside playing, but he also settles down quickly and is happy lounging in the sun or next to a family member. An ideal family for Fred would have the patience to help teach Fred what he needs to know to be a good dog and also give him the love and attention that he is eager to reciprocate.
Applicants that are willing to enroll their puppy in obedience classes will receive preference.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Po Litter Fredo - ADOPTED 10.17.15 (click to see larger version):
