Description:

Tim was left in a box on the porch of a rural shelter. Little Tim had not been taken care of so the kind shelter people wormed him and got him back on his "paws". Once here we discovered he had an abscessed broken baby tooth which we took care of.

Timmy is a lively pup, loves to play with dogs, is full of kisses, and doesn’t mind snoozing in your lap. He is doing well with housebreaking, crate training, and riding in the car. Tim goes to daycare 2 days per week and he easily made friends there.

We (human friends) were sitting on the patio one day watching the dogs play. A lively discussion started over what breed/s little Timmy might be. A week later “friend” arrived with a DNA test kit in hand (smile). The results are back: Timmy is an American Staffordshire Terrier/Bulldog (English)/Bull Terrier as the three primary breeds along with about 25% of misc mixed breeds. A curious observance is Timmy has very webbed feet!

Timmy’s latest adventure is off leash hiking. He is partnered with my experienced white dog and they sure have fun. Both are trained with electric collars for recall and boundary control.   He will need all the usual pup-type training, a yard to play in, and be part of a loving family.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
