Description:
Tina came to LDDR on July 9, 2015 with her male companion named Buck and their son named Kevin after they lost their home. Tina is a 3 pound and 10.5 ounce female Chihuahua. She really likes Buck her companion. She is a really sweet Chihuahua and liked me right away and wants to be next to me when I am sitting down and loves to be petted. My screen door has a slit in the corner and she love to run in and out onto my balcony. Tina loves to go on long walks on the lake. She loves being outside so a fenced in backyard would be excellent for her. She is high energy and very fast and walks fast. She loves to play tug of war with all the little toys with her son Kevin but she can be overpowering with him at times. Kevin the puppy has very sharp baby teeth and this can be part of the problem because he discovered my fingers which helped me to realize this issue. Tina is very adorable. Tina should not be in a home with young children due to her fragile size. I know this from experience with children and Chihuahua's.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
