Are you looking for the man of your dreams? Look no further then me! Hello there! My name is Soter! I am a big cuddly boy. I am slowly putting on weight and the vet thinks I will be about 75-80lbs. My favorite thing to do is play fetch! I am great about bringing the toy back and will drop it nicely at your feet! My favorite place is the dog park or the park where we go for walks! I am good at walking on a leash and crate trained. My foster mom and dad let me sleep in their bed sometimes, but sometimes I sleep under their bed! I would do well in a home with a calm dog friend. I have only met a few cats (they roam my local pet store) and although I found them interesting, all I wanted to do was sniff them. I don’t have a prey drive that my foster mom has noticed. I am curious about new things in the yard (snakes, frogs, fireflies) but just sniff them and leave them be! I am a little shy when meeting new people. I can get scared but with time, I warm right up! I am working with a trainer to learn that having people over can be fun! When I do warm up I am very loyal and protective. I like to be to be wherever my family is! I like to follow my foster mom and dad around the house. When I arrived at their home I didn’t know how to cuddle or show them that I loved them.. But all of that has changed! I cuddle, give kisses, and will gently paw at the door when they leave. I have a foster sister who I get along great with. We enjoy cuddling together on the couch and wrestling. When we get treats I let her steal part of my cookies! I have found that keeping her happy, makes me happy! My foster mom calls me a couch potato because I would rather be cuddling next to you on the couch then by my self.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
