Description:
Scampi is one of three senior dogs brought to LDDR by a very heartbroken man. After his wife died and living arrangements changed, he could no longer care for the dogs he and his wife had treasured. He brought them to rescue so that they would have the chance to find loving homes again in their golden years. Scampi is a sweet, laid back girl that loves to be by your side. She is an AKC registered yorkshire terrier that comes fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Along with having a dental cleaning last summer, she had a small tumor removed. The former owner was told there was only a 20% of it returning, and has had no signs of regrowth. Other than that, she is a healthy and spry girl who will turn 14 in October. Please inquire if you think that Scampi is the one for you!
Room in your heart for two yorkies? Check out her "brother" Mo. They have been together since they were puppies, and it would be amazing if they could stay together!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
