Description:
Hi, my names Dieter-but plenty of people also call me Hercules, and I respond to both! I'm only 8 months old but I am already so intelligent! I have been crate trained and am completely potty trained. I also know not to overwhelm people with my energy. I have the prettiest eyes and most people fall in love with me instantly. I am a very social dog, I used to play at Camp Bow Wow every day with all my friends and I am always excited to meet new friends. I would love a playmate to have fun with throughout the day. I am currently in a home with a senior dog, so I can't play with her, but I'm okay with that and occasionally she lets me walk up and give her a kiss. My current foster mom takes me on walks and plays with me multiple times a day just so I can get some energy out. I love being chased around the yard when I get ahold of a toy but when I'm really excited I've nipped her heels if she stops running, it doesn't hurt, but I don't want to accidentally mistake a young kid as a playmate when I'm in play mode so we are working on that. After I play outside I really enjoy taking long naps. I sometimes think I'm a lap dog, and I want to be as close to you as possible, I really love getting affection and I like to know what you're doing so I will also follow you around the house, I am a true companion. I would do best in a household with a yard, and another dog as friendly as me!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
