Description:
Luv-bug Brulee is a playful girl who would be a perfect match for an active home. She is energetic and loves to interact by playing fetch, tug, hide-n-seek and tag. (“I love to play!”) A secure yard, electric fence or tie-out is a must for this active girl; she has managed to climb a picket fence and take herself on a stroll to meet the neighbors. Just like people, this gal needs exercise to keep her happy and healthy – she might make a good jogging partner for that early morning run.
Brulee is house-broken and crate trained but prefers to be by your side if you are home. This dog seeks out human love and attention. She’ll sleep next to you in bed if you let her, or will lie across your lap and watch movies with you. (“I’m a great snuggle buddy, especially when watching those late night suspense movies.”) She is fixed and up to date on vaccines.
She appears to get along with all types of dogs, although she often prefers to be the dominant canine. She makes a great game out of stealing ALL the dog toys. Her foster mom reports that Brulee has a lot of fun taking the dog toys out of the toy box, almost as fast as she put them in it.
She has been caught counter surfing (“My, that steak looks delicious!”) and exhibits lots of interest in the kitchen trash can. She gets excited and likes to jump, so a house with older kids would be best. She is currently learning better manners.
Brulee is working on her distrust of (some) strangers and will need to be enrolled in further training to help her get over being so uncomfortable. Training is a great way for family members to bond with their new furry companion!
So how about inviting a loving, playful canine into your life? If you are looking for a young, active dog (“I’m cute, too!”) to keep up with you, contact LDDR and ask to meet Brulee! Her foster can be contacted directly atbookdemon@gmail.com.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The
petfinder.com
system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
