Description:
Sprite is coming out of her shell nicely and is learning that it's fun to explore new places.  She is a calm puppy who will happily follow you around and wait patiently for you to pay attention to her.  She likes to wrestle with her sisters and brother and join in the tug of war.

Sprite and her siblings were left unattended in a garage for their first 6 weeks and had little to no human interaction. They had no idea that people were not scary and are very unsure about the world around them.  In the time they have been with me they are learning that when I come into the room it's a good thing and they will now come to greet me.  They have learned to sit for treats and will only venture down the hallway from their bedroom if there is more than one of them.  I am practicing this with them daily so they won't be so fearful.  I have seen so much improvement in them as far as acting like normal (non fearful) puppies that I'm sure given a little extra time they will all be just fine.  They are all really calm and gentle for their age.  A picture of their mom is posted below.

Applicants that are willing to enroll their puppy in obedience classes will receive  preference

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
