Description:
Meet Tinley! She's got those stunningly blue and expressive Catahoula Leopard dog eyes, distinctive spots on her back and belly and an adorably crooked ear. Tinley will steal your heart with her silly faces, belly rub begging antics, and long cuddles on the sofa, but she'll make it worth the bargain by giving her whole heart back. She takes a few days to really open up to someone, but once she knows you she won't want to leave your side. In fact, she will follow you around the house and sit on your feet while your work or read. The perfect mix of calm and adventurous, she'll sleep in her crate while you're at work, and then go for a short jog around the neighborhood. She also enjoys a long walk to to sniff out squirrels and other ferocious beasts. She still pulls on the leash a little, but is improving with training. Tinley doesn't always respond well to other dogs, so she needs to be on a leash and well supervised when out of the house.

At home, Tinley loves to play fetch with her stuffed animal squeaky toy, and knows how to respect her toys instead of shredding them to make a mess on your carpet. She runs around the house like a wild thing for about five minutes every evening, then settles down nicely to snuggle or take a nap. While Tinley is a gentle girl, her play might be too rough for younger children. She responds well to a firm “No!” though, and calms down quickly, especially if belly rubs are available. If you're looking for a loving companion who will run with you, make you laugh, and keep you warm on the sofa, Tinley might be the perfect dog for you.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
