Description:
Iggy showed up on the doorstep of a rural home and stayed there for 2 days waiting for help. The homeowner did not approach or feed him, "not wanting him to think he was welcome there". In spite of this and ending up at a shelter, Iggy is friendly, happy, and loves any attention.
Iggy is incredibly sweet and is great with other dogs too! He is one awesome dog! He is pretty laid back and just likes to hang out by you. He is a great cuddler too! He does get his spurts of energy and can be quite silly! Iggy likes running around the yard (a fenced yard would be best for him) and will run back inside and jump on top of his crate on a blanket and watch what is going on around him. He enjoys burrowing himself under the blankets to nap. Iggy sits very nice and takes treats gently. He has no food aggression. Iggy is a strong boy and does need leash work as he pulls and is very interested in his surroundings. Iggy is quite a character and goofy guy and will be sure to entertain you! Iggy is 1-2 years old and weighs 55-60lbs. He is house trained, crate trained, neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and waiting for love! If you would like more info on Iggy, please email his foster at chlyfa415@comcast.net
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
