Description:
Hi! My name is Keenan, but my foster mom calls me Teddy. I think it's because I remind her of a big cuddly Teddy Bear! It's true, I am pretty big and I love cuddles!

I would love to find my forever home, could it be with you? I would love to live somewhere with a fenced in yard, I just love to be outside! My foster mom takes me on lots of walks and always says how cold it is, but I just don't feel it! I like to just walk casually and sniff around. I make sure not to pull on the leash, I'm really happy to just walk slowly next to my human.

I would love to live with a family. I think kids are so fun to play with. I know I must be gentle with the little ones...I'm so big I tend to be a little clumsy but I would never play too rough. I also know that human food is just for humans, and that the only place to relieve myself is outside.

I love being hugged so I'll take all the love I can get whether it's a house full of kids or maybe just a couple adults.
I love meeting new people but I'm not rude about it. When I'm on walks,I meet the people I encounter very sweetly. I'm a big boy and I don't want to scare anyone with my size! I make sure not to jump up or pull on the leash. I'm happy just to get a hello and maybe a light head pat.

I am a bit wary of other dogs. It's not that I can't be around them, I just need proper introductions and a chance to get to know them. I haven't been around cats, so I don't know how I feel about them yet!

As much as I love to play and exercise, I must admit I love taking naps too! I settle down nicely and really like to relax most of the day with my chew toys.
I love treats and take them gently...I even sit and shake my foster moms hand to get them!
I hope I can find my forever home soon! I hear "good boy" so much from my foster mom, I just know that I could be a good boy for you!

Won't you consider meeting me? I might be a big boy, but that just means there's more of me to love you!

Hope to meet you soon,

Keenan "Teddy"

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
