Description:

Tiny Tim, or TT, as he is called in his foster home, is a very spunky senior Yorkie who weighs a whopping 4 pounds.  He was surrendered by the family that no longer wanted him. This little guy suffered neglect and abuse by those he trusted.  But despite what was reported about his former situation, TT is very friendly.  When he meets new people, he stands up on his hind legs with paws extended ready to give you a big hug.  He bonded quickly to his foster mom and when he sees her, wags his little stub of a tail as fast as it can go. He did fine when introduced to the other dogs residing in the home, but definitely does not like being stepped on and will let the other dogs know that!  TT likes to be held and sleep on his foster mom’s lap.  He does have Separation Anxiety and cries and barks if he can’t be with people, but he is not destructive.  Because of neglect in his former home, TT was not always given the opportunity to potty outside and has had a couple potty accidents in the foster home.  However, with gentle correction and consistent routine, TT learned quickly to go potty outside and is doing very well with housetraining.  TT had his initial health exam and it was discovered he has early stage renal disease.  At this point, he is being managed by a senior diet and no medication is required.  A follow-up appointment will take place in November, at which time TT will have a dental cleaning and possible neuter.  Due to his size and history, we are seeking an adult-only home for Tiny Tim.

If you have questions about Tiny Tim or would like to meet him, please contact his foster mom at j-jarrett@att.net

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
