Description:

Hi, my name is Willa. I had a rough road getting to LDDR and my foster mom. I was found by a wonderful lady up north in the woods. I had been hit by a car and was trying to survive in the woods alone. She got me to the doc and I got the care I needed. Then she called LDDR and my foster mom brought me home!

I love being with my foster family! I have teenage humans, two doggie sisters and two foster cat sisters. A family like this is good since I am still a young dog so I love to play! Tug o' War or playing with the ball is a lot of fun. I play a lot with my dog sister- rolling around playing on the floor or chasing each other in the yard is great. You want energy then I have it. But, I can calm down nicely too. My foster mom thinks it is because I spent so much time at the doctors getting my leg fixed that I am very happy with life now and it shows. The strength in my leg is coming back too. My foster mom is teaching me better leash manners right now as I wasn't able to get out much before. Have you jumped in a pile of leaves?? I love it! I love to explore and sniff on our walks. Our last walk was 2 miles and my leg didn't slow me down at all.

I am looking for a family that is active and fun to call my own. Another playful dog would be wonderful for me!  I am good in the car, I am house broken, spayed, shots up to date, crate-trained (although I don't like it since my foster sister aren't in their crates), I share toys and I know some basic commands.

Can you love me and give me the best home I deserve?  I will love you back without a doubt.

Update: Leg has completely healed and strength has returned.  Willa is more than able to run and play without any problems or issues. This beautiful girl is ready for her forever home- she will give you some much love.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
