Description:
Hi there, my name is Mitsy Rouge! I started out as a stray and was found in River Rouge. My finder named me and gave me the best chance of a new life that he can...and it happened! I was saved from the shelter by a Last Day Dog Rescue foster that knew of my story and my loving finder who wouldn't give up on me! Like so many other unlucky dogs, I was literally on my "last day" there due to overcrowding. Fortunately, I was one of the lucky ones to make it out alive! The person who found me, the LDDR volunteer, and the shelter volunteers all recognized that I was a special, sweet dog, so they all worked hard to make sure that I did not end up euthanized.

I am shy at first, but I warm up quickly and will steal your heart! My foster family is still letting me settle in and get comfortable with my new environment before testing me out around other dogs and cats, but they will update when they have more information on that. I am crate trained and house training. I am so thankful to get a second chance at life...a good life, and can't wait to find my forever home! Could it be with you???

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
