Description:
Hi, I’m Millie, a super sweet, loving and playful adult female beagle. We are not sure about my age or how I lost my first family. I was most likely a stray since so little information came with me from the shelter in Ohio where I was rescued. I need a fenced in yard so I don’t lose my family again. My foster mom had my teeth while being spayed. I did not lose any teeth in the process. I like attention from people of all ages. I’m calm and love to sit by my family and be petted but I also like to sniff around outside and chase squirrels. I am really sweet to the children (ages 3, 7, and 9 years old) in my foster family. I like to play with my doggie toys, but I’ll also play with a pine-cone. My foster mom thought I was so cute playing with a bouncy ball. I would drop it, watch it bounce, pick it and repeat. I keep trying to play with my foster family’s senior min pin. I really would like play mate! I also like going on walks with my foster family though I am still working on my leash manners. I’m a really good girl. I am doing well in my crate and seem house-trained. I did have an accident by the door. I really wanted out and was really sad that it happened. I whine when I need something like out to go potty. I am good in the house otherwise. I’m not a chewer. My foster mom trusts me alone in the house except when food is out. I am very food motivated! In fact, my foster mom is teaching me to ‘sit’ and I get yummy food. I’m very motivated to learn new tricks for food! I sometime walk with a limp in my front right paw. We think it’s something that is healing. I get around fine and the veterinarian said there is not treatment needed. Might you be my forever family and let me love you!
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
