Description:
UPDATE: Reese is about 6 yrs old, they call her a Korean Jindo dog, but my best description of Reese is the build and fur type of a husky with the brindled color of a boxer. But ultimately Reese is just Reese! She is a very smart, affectionate, loyal, quirky dog. She knows roughly six commands, all but one she has learned since I have had her. Sit, lay down, stay, shake, high five, and come. And she is willing to learn more! Very easily trainable, very smart and just wants to please you! She is the perfect mix of chill and active. She basically is up for anything that I am up for. If i just want to lay around all day, she lays around with me, just chill. Follows me around from room to room. If you wanted to go out on a run, hike or walk she is up for that too. Her favorite time of the day is when we go on walks! Absolutely LOVES walks, I think she lives for them. She would go for a walk 5 times a day if you would take her! But she isn't like a puppy and need to work out her energy, If she doesn't make it out for a walk she is fine. Walks very well on a leash. She is not a doggie toy type of dog, I don't think she has ever known what one is and isn't interested in them now so money saver there! She does enjoy chewing on bones. Reese for now needs to be adopted out as an only dog. When she was younger it is thought that she was picked on by other dogs in her house and now does not play well with others. She is perfectly fine to coexisting around other dogs. I do not have a problem with her when she attends the adoption events. She is fine sitting just feet next to other dogs and she does fine. She just does not like other dogs in her space. I personally have been introducing her to a young pitty, and she does great with him, just doesn't want him all up in her face. She is a very loyal dog. Anywhere I go she is there with me, making sure I am okay. Reese gets free reign of the house when I am not home, she does fine. She is not a destructive dog. She is just a very special dog that I hope we can find her forever home soon
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
