Description:

My name is Braver. I came from a home where I was crated 23 hours a day, only let out to go to the bathroom. The family I lived with didn't want to take the time to train me so they constantly called me "stupid" and "dumb." They finally contacted Last Day Dog Rescue for me to be picked up. When I went to say good-bye to the family I lived with, the younger boy came up and smacked me right in the head and told me to "leave stupid dog."

When I got to my foster home I found I would have 5 other doggies to play with! I love running and playing in the yard with them. I especially like playing chase or tug with our toys! I have a lot of energy so having a fenced in yard is something that would be best for me so I can run free and play. My foster mom realized I am not as "stupid" as my last family said I was. I learned how to sit and give my paw in just twenty minutes. (My foster mom is learning I will do anything for a treat, I'm training her pretty good.) I am working on my manners and tend to overly kiss when a new person walks in the door. I have to learn not to jump too especially since I am such a big boy. I am learning not everyone likes that. My last family never took my on a walk so I am learning how to walk on a leash. I am very curious about new things so I tend to pull a little, but I'll catch on soon. I love the outdoors and am fully potty trained and crate trained. When I am done playing, I love to just hang out and be where my humans are. I love to cuddle too! I don't have a mean bone in my body and have a great temperment. I love everyone and kids too!

I am looking for a loving, caring family who will teach me how to be the smart boy I am. Is this you? I would love to have another doggie companion in my forever home too!

If you would like more info on me, please contact my foster mommy at chlyfa415@comcast.net

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
