Description:
My name is Zumba Zoey, but that is a lot to say so my foster family calls me ZiZi.  I came to LDDR from a pretty bad situation.  It was scary when I was taken from the bad place I was living.  I had a liter of pups when Animal Control came to take us.  I didn't understand what was happening so I just worked really hard at being a good mommy and keeping all my pups safe.  When they finally got us all they took us to a place called a shelter.  We had to stay there for a while, then the great people of LDDR came and rescued us all!  My pups have all gone to loving homes, except for one of my older sons, and it is time for me to find a home of my own.

I love, LOVE, love attention!  But when my humans are busy and can't give it to me, I just curl up and wait for them to have time.  Once they stop what they are doing and visit with me I am so excited that my whole body shakes with my wagging tail.  It is so nice to get loving rubs, hugs and kisses!   The best part of my foster family is there is four of them...so I am sure to get lots of attention!  My favorite spot in the house is the recliner.

I am very good with kids.  As long as they are willing to give me some love, I am willing to give it right back.  I am also good with other dogs.  I don't get all riled up and run around or wrestle with them, but I am always up for a little play time.  Honestly though, lounging around is more my style. My foster mom says that sometimes she forgets that I am even around.  She also said that a dog doesn't get any easier than I am.  She calls me the 'package deal'.

I am completely house broken and even though I will sleep in my crate I don't need to.  I sleep on a dog bed next to my foster mommy's bed.  I curl right up and don't move...all night.  I really am so amazing and who can resist that face. Please consider making me a permanent part of your family. Thank you, ZiZi

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
