Description:
Hi, I’m Buffy, a sweet, young adult pug. I’m probably purebred. I like people of all ages. I really like to play with my toys (stuffed animals, rope bone, and tennis ball) with them. I play well with the children (ages 3, 7, and 9 years old) in my foster home. I like to play tug-of-war and fetch. I like to go on daily walks though I am still working on my leash manners.

I’m really a good girl. I was saved from being sold on a garage sale site by Last Day Dog Rescue volunteers. My owners were unwilling to give me up without a fee, but my foster mom thinks I was well worth the donations. I am crate-trained and house trained. I still like to chew a little on my toys but I can sometimes confuse my toys with my foster family’s toys. Sorry! I need a family who is understanding and will pick of the kids stuffed animals (and similar toys) so I don’t get confused...and in trouble.

I know basic commands like “sit” and seem to have some familiarity with “stay” and “leave it.” I need a family who will work with me on good behavior skills. I don’t jump on people but I do bark. I bark about, and to, everything. I bark at my toys when I want someone to play with them with me. I bark at my foster dad when he comes home from work, even though I know him. I like to watch outside and bark at anything that moves. I bark at dogs when I meet them and maybe cats, thought I don’t seem to have much interest in them. I have never lived with cats. I am doing ok with my foster family’s dog, a senior female min pin who does not want to play with me. I would do better with a dog that is submissive or non-dominant.

Might you be my forever family and let me love you!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
