Description:
Hi, we are Wilbur and Charlotte. We are brother and sister that were dropped off at a high kill shelter that has 16 spaces and 30 dogs. The  nice people that feed us and smile at us and wrote everyone they knew and begged for many of us to be saved. A few rescues came to our help and especially a special lady that offered to foster us with Last Day Dog Rescue. We call her foster mom! She's gonna have so much fun with us when we share our wonderful playful personalities with her. We have been at this hot, scary shelter for a couple weeks. We get food, water and even got some shots when we first came in. but no toys, no one to play with...and never go outside. The nice people here think our parents are Shepherd and Rottweiler. Honestly we barely remember mom and never knew dad. I guess they are going on our cute faces. We are looking forward to many happy years of love and kindness and never ever coming to one of these places again. It was kinda nice to at least have each other. Other pups are all alone and they look so scared! We don't have to be adopted together but sure would like a reunion once we are grown up and big dogs. They say we may be as big as 70-80 lbs. Wow! That's big to our little selves, We have to start eating more! Once foster mom gets to know us she can share more about us and what we are really like when not stuck in a scary place anymore. She will also take some new pictures of us so you can see just how cute we really are! Thank You LDDR for foster mommy and for giving us our life back!

Applicants that are willing to enroll their puppy in obedience classes will receive  preference

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
