Description:

Annie is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! She is so sweet and loving and gentle, loves to cuddle and be petted. She loves people but is a bit afraid to trust. She warms up quickly to people who are kind and gentle to her. She likes to hang out with people but she gets scared easily (from someone abusing her in the past.) At the shelter, they said Annie had been beaten by someone. She gets scared by sudden noises but recovers quickly. If someone drops an ink pen, she runs and hides and then peeks out to see if everything is OK.

Annie gets along great with other dogs. She has been very quiet so far and I was told that she was very quiet at the shelter. She has beautiful eyes and very soft ears. She has an underbite but you would never know it without opening her mouth and looking at her teeth. Annie is getting alot braver since being in her foster home, she will run up to us with her little tail wagging like crazy! She likes toys and rawhides and she already recognizes the sound of the treat bag rattling.

Annie actually prefers to spend much of her time in her crate where she feels safe.  When she goes outside and wanders around the yard, she comes in as soon as I call her and she RUNS in too when she hears me call. Annie is such a wonderful dog and so precious. She's timid but very loving.  We love this girl! Whoever adopts her is going to have a great companion!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
