Kirby is a little sweetheart and is approximately 9 months old. He has the cutest puppy face and eyes that will melt your heart when he looks up at you! He is all white with a little brown spot on top of his head and a brown patch on his ear. Kirby is kind of a shy guy but once he knows you-you are his best friend! When his foster mom gets home from work, you would think he hasn't seen her in days! He is so excited! It is hard to tell what mix of breeds he is but there is no doubt he is a cutie!

Kirby has settled in well in his foster home. Kirby is pretty mild-mannered and an easy pup to have around. He doesn't get into anything and doesn't chew on anything that doesn't belong to him-only his toys. He likes to be where ever his foster mom is and enjoys cuddle time! He loves to be curled up next to you when he sleeps. He loves the 10 year old boy in his foster home and gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He enjoys running around the yard playing with them and with his toys (tug-of-war with a rope toy is his favorite!). He also enjoys sitting by the fence waiting for his doggie friends next door to come out and play.

Kirby is coming along on his basic commands such as sit, stay and shake. He does well on a leash and is crate trained. We are working on his house training and he now takes treats gently since he can be a little piggy! A secure fenced in yard or a lead is a must since he has a nose on him and is very interested in critters. He is on the smaller side and shouldn't get any bigger as his paws are small. He is a little lover and and as sweet as they come!

Kirby is up-to-date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. 

Kirby was urgent at a shelter and the volunteers there begged LDDR to save him as he's not even a year old and his time was almost up. LDDR couldn't leave this adorable young boy behind. All he wants is to be by you and be loved on. Won't you be the one to offer this cutie a place in your heart and home??


Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.
                                  

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do o ur best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
