Description:

Fred is a tiny, happy little guy. His tail never stops wagging! I can't get near his crate without hearing soft little thumping from his tail. He is a little timid, but still learning the ropes here. He has a clean bill of health and loves his foster sister and tiny rescue brother. He is good with dogs but we are not sure how he is with cats yet. Older children might be best since he is so small. He springs around the house like a rabbit, but has not jumped on the furniture. He loves all of the toys he has to play with.

Fred would probably do best in a home that has kids or someone to walk or jog with him. He absolutely loves people and wants nothing more than to say hello to everyone we walk by. He seems to want to run or jog quite often too. For as small as he is, it wouldn't take an athlete to run with him but he would enjoy it. It really makes his day to go out in public and meet everyone. That's his favorite thing! He is just a delightful little guy!
  

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption.  AVID Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification.  The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted.  If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip.  Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times.  Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.                


The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do o ur best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
