Description:
Ponyo is a sweet little thing. She is a Corgi mix, possibly with Chihuahua and Dachshund. She is full grown weighing at 15 lbs. She still has some of that puppy energy but will still calm down and relax/cuddle with you. She likes to play with her toys and chews them all up. She would need plenty of chew toys around! She loves to play tug-o-war with the other dogs and a good game of chase around the yard. Despite her being small she is pretty fast, so a fenced in yard would be needed for her. She is trained on an invisible fence. She is pretty smart and has learned how to "sit" and stay "down". She is highly food motivated and should be pretty easy to train. She is good with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind the cats. She is great with kids! She loves to play with them or just cuddle up with them when she is tired. She is crate trained and housebroken. She has an under-bite where her bottom teeth cover her top teeth, so she looks like she is smiling all the time! She walks okay on a leash, but does have room to improve. She has a tendency to pull when she sees other people or dogs. She is just excited to greet/meet everyone! She is a super sweet sweet dog and is hoping to find her forever family!

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.
