Description:

Zoey is around 6 months. She is potty trained and since she has been with us she has learned sit, shake, speak, here, and no. She is great with my kids, 4 and 7, and loves my cats and other dog...they just don't like her :( .. She is very smart and learns quickly! She does not run, we have 6 acres and she has never left our property. We have brought her up north to our cabin, and she never left our property there either. She loves going on the boat fishing and for car rides. She LOVES car rides!!! She is a little timid when she first meets you and might bark or try to hide. This is especially true for adult males. I don't think she was treated well in her old home. However, she warms up rather quickly, especially if you have kids, and then will want to lick you all over. She also does not jump on kids. I really care about Zoey, and want her to have an awesome family. When I found her, she was so scared she was shaking. I never want her to feel like that again!

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home.
