Description:
Nutmeg was returned when her parents had to go into assisted living. She was very sad and had a tough time with the transition initially. She will need a family that will give her time to settle into her new home. She is the sweetest dog ever and is super chill with absolutely the best temperament. Don’t let her age fool you, she loves to be outside and go for nice long walks. She loves being with you as much as possible and is always ready to jump up into the car to go for a ride with you. She rides great in the car! Nutmeg is 10 years old and has not been kept in a crate so she will need a home that will allow her to be free in the home while you are away. She is fine being gated off in a room with a baby gate. She does however need someone who is not away from home long hours, especially in the beginning. She does not get on the furniture, does not beg for food and does not chew on things that don’t belong to her. She loves her dog beds and will sleep on her bed right next to yours at night. She has done great around kids but if she goes to a home with children, we will be selective of the activity level of the home. We would like a calmer environment for her. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
