Description:
Sugar is a joy to have as one of my foster doggies. She is gentle & loves to give kisses, she has impeccable house manners & is very quiet & calm. She really is just looking for a loving family to snuggle with! Loves car rides & is a lady while out on the town! She is ~6+ yrs old, Bulldog/Boxer/ PitBull ??? Mix, ~44# (but she looks much smaller), great w/ children, OK w/ dogs but really is not interested in playing & prefers to be by people, she would love to be the center of attention, she does get protective of her crate & food towards other dogs & will need an experienced dog owner & further training in this area or a home with out other dogs, she is fine at the dog park, on walks encountering other dogs & at dog classes, she also lives w/ 10 other dogs in her foster home (I honestly have no problems in this area w/ her :-)... Sugar will chase cats but is not aggressive & will stop if you tell her to. Very sweet, friendly enjoys human companionship, house & crate trained, good on a leash & in the car. Sugar is way sweeter than her name :) Sugar was seen being pushed from a moving car & witnesses could hear puppies crying in the car that sped away... She was Heart Worm Positive (which LDDR treated, 5/17/12, 6/18 & 19/12 Sugar has finished treatment & is ready for adoption (will need year round hearworm prevention). Sugar also had a large hernia repaired during her spay surgery, her uterus had prolapsed into the hernia & it was a major surgery over 3hrs long - she is all healed & you would never know it now! *If you are not ready to add this lovely lady to your family yet, please donate towards her past medical needs.* Thank You!
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
