Description:
Sebastian's updated Bio from his foster mommy: When I first picked up Sebastian from the veterinarian after his tail surgery, he was a little nervous and skittish meeting me. He warmed up very quickly and I've had him for about a week now and he really has blossomed into just about the perfect dog. I really can't say enough good things about him! He seems much more confident and social meeting new people now. He goes up to people now and wants their attention. Sebastian is great on leash, I walk him regularly. I walk him up for his re-check vet appointments as well. He is also great in the car. I havenot had to crate him here (didn't want him to hurt his tail again) He is loose in my house when we have to leave home, along with my own dogs and cats. Everyone gets along (actually one of my cats kind of terrorizes him lol) He is not a destructive chewer, but he does like chewing rawhides, even with his "cone of shame" on. Sebastian is VERY playful! He loves to race around my backyard with my dog that loves to run. They chase each other all over. He also LOVES to play with toys and will entertain himself inside and outside. He really wants to be homed with a family with children. When I took him to an adoption event we were stationed by the front door of the store, and he play bowed to EVERY child that walked by. He wants a child to play with and be his very own! He has wonderful house manners and just wants to be where you are. I have only had a few pee accidents in the house and mostly when he first arrived here. He does not seem to be a "marker". He just needs to be rewarded for going outside to potty consistently (he used to be an outdoor dog). Sebastian does have mild storm phobia. He gets nervous (pacing) when there is a storm coming and he will refuse to go outside to potty. When I put him outside (it was thundering and lightening but it hadn't started raining yet) He ran around my backyard in a panic seeking shelter. Poor thing, I don't think he had sufficient shelter when he was an outdoor dog and he must have been out in some very bad weather. When back inside he sought comfort with my own noise phobic dog and they curled up on a dog bed in the bedroom with each other and rode out the storm. He seems to get nervous around big "bully" dogs. He gets stiff and "on guard" and his hackles go up. I suppose he has a bit of a "Napoleon complex". So just watch him around larger more intimidating dogs and make sure he doesn't feel threatened by them. I think that's it! I love Sebastian and if I could adopt him I would. He is such a sweet and wonderful dog and companion to have around. If you choose to adopt him you won't be sorry! Sebastion is going to make some family very happy!
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home.
