Description:
Willow loves kids but can be a bit mouthy and it can hurt at times. ( we are working on it and she seems to be getting the idea now) small children ma not be a good idea? she will need a dog to play with, I don't think she will do good by herself? she will just get bored and be destructive! Willow is a puppy, she chews, gets on tables, jumps high ( in your face) she would be a wonderful agillity dog! When looking to adopt Willow, please remember she is a puppy not a typical 8 month old dog. She is very energetic, she grabs your leg when you are walking past her, she loves to play tug of war with your pant leg or foot! She will need someone to play with, she is also a cuddle bug when she gets tired. But she needs to get tired out first! Willow is a little girl who is just as though she is a baby puppy, she is very active she is not a typical 8 month old she is more like a 1-2 months old. She still chews and is not house trained. She is shy at first but she does warm up after a bit. She was suppose to be a companion for an older poodle, but she was to playful and energetic for the older gal ( of course!) Willow needs someone who wants a little lap dog for a companion and has time to work with her, if you are gone 8 hours or more a day, this will not be enough time to be able to work with her, she needs a person who is not gone that much. Yes, she is non shedding. also right now she has a puppy cut( yuck!) but her hair will grow out and will be long like a yorkie's, but will be silver. If Willow is let out often she don't have accidents. Willow will need basic training classes and time, she will need someone who has lots of time to devote to her and her training.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Willow-ADOPTED-3.30.12 (click to see larger version):
