Description:

Princess came into a vet hospital very deathly sick and her family could not afford her care so they signed her over to the hospital, lucky for her one of the employees is involved with LDDR and came to her rescue! She was positive for lepto and then came down with pneumonia, but this strong girl never stopped fighting and now she is as healthy as can be! Princess is approx. 1 yr old, spayed pit bull female, who weighs 47lbs. She is a high energy dog and loves to go on walks, however she gets very excited when she sees other dogs because she just wants to play all the time! She gets along well with other dogs as long as they dont mind her "in your face-play with me" demeanor. She leaves all the cats in her foster home alone just fine though. Princess is completely housetrained and a very well behaved girl in the home, she is always following her foster mommy everywhere she goes and is always sitting at her feet. She can however get vocal if she is crated because she always wants to be part of the fun, and really there is no reason to crate her because she behaves herself so well! She likes to just snuggle up in a chair when she is alone. Princess knows all the basic commands such as sit, stay, down and come. She listens off leash and is a very smart girl that could learn many commands if someone took the time to teach her as she is very willing to please. Please come take a look at this miracle of a dog! She will steal your heart away! (And give you kisses)

UPDATE:

Princess came to stay with me after being housed in a boarding facility for more than 2 months.  Since she has been with me, it is was discovered that this wonderful girl is fully obedience trained!!!  She listens very well and has become very balanced and is secure in her daily routine and just keeps getting better.  She has a high energy level and enjoys going for a run each night. (I take her out with my golf cart and she runs her heart out and loves every minute)  When I get on the golf cart – she really does the happy dance.  She loves car rides and behaves like a perfect lady.  Princess has been to work with me in an office and she would make a perfect office companion.  Once she checks out her surroundings and is certain she has checked every garbage can for any possible food – she lays down and is perfectly content just watching all that is going on.

Princess loves everyone she meets – including children!  Princess is particular about other dogs.  I have seen her like some small dogs but ultimately  she should be an only dog.  She is very strong and also has a high prey drive.  She will require an experienced handler – princess does not respond well to weak (people) handlers and will try to test you.  If you pass her test – you will have complete respect from her and she will give you full authority over her.  She settles right down and feels secure when in a strong handlers care.  I have not had her around cats but it was said when she was in foster care – she did not pay any attention to the cats in that home.   Did I mention Princess is 100% house broken!  She will not even mess in her kennel!  This is one well behaved energetic pit!!!!!

The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
