Description:

Hi! I'm Snoopy. I'm a beagle and looking for my forever home again. We thought I had found that when I was adopted a few years ago by a very nice couple. However, after a couple years they had babies. I was ok at first but you know babies start crawling and walking around and that made me nervous. So after my parents tried lots of stuff they decided it was best if LDDR took me back to find me a home with no children.

My parents moved from Michigan all the way to Nebraska. LDDR had some great volunteers working hand in hand with another rescue in Nebraska who got me to Des Moines, IA where the volunteers from LDDR picked me up and we drove all the way back to Michigan. I'm a great traveler by the way!

When I got to my first Foster's home, she loved me and introduced me to her dogs and I love them. But she's moving out of state so now I get to stay with those volunteers who picked me up in Iowa!

I'd really like a home of my own. Someone who understands me. I'm a beagle and like to sniff and I do pull a bit while walking but that's because scents really intrigue me. I'm one who can snuggle on the couch and I'll make a great family pet to someone!

Some things about me:

I'm crate trained.
I'm house broke.
I play with toys and enjoy walks.
I'm cat friendly.
I'm dog friendly.
I'm pretty quiet.
I will need training on walking on a leash.
I'm a great traveler.
I know some commands.
I'm treat motivated.
I can be stubborn. (But really who isn't lol)
I like certain toys, sometimes I don't like to let them go. I think I might not get them back.

What I'm looking for:

I prefer no small children (15 and older)
Patience
Willingness to train me on the leash
Love
A forever home
Redirecting my attention when I really get to sniffing something or when I like chewing on a bone.

If you're interested in meeting me and think we're a match, please fill out an application so we can do a meet and greet! Please see events below that I maybe attending.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
