Description:

12/27/2011 Fuzzy sure has energy to play, play, play and play ! Almost think he is a Rat Terrier disguised as a Yorkie but then he has Poodle curls in the fur so he is a true mutt. He sure has the energy and is playful enough to keep up with bigger dogs. A bit of bad weather does not put him off, he is still out in the yard roaming around with the other dogs. He will bark at sounds outside the house and is always the first one to greet visitors. Fuzzy loves to stand at the window and keep an eye on everything that pass by out in the street.

This is an athletic and energethic boy ! He will jump up in your lap whenever he has a chance and he loves attention and is a cuddler. A fenced yard and another dog to play would help to burn off his energy and after that he is a very good boy indoors, Do not let his rough looks fool you, he is a little lover ! Long walks would be an alternative but he will need an obedience class (or two) to learn how to walk nicely on a leash. He will do well in an active family where things are happening all the time, after his daily dose of excercise he is content hanging out on the couch with his human. Fuzzy likes rawhides and squiky toys and if he has those he will leave household items alone. He sleeps in his crate because we are a home with many dogs, if he was the only dog in the home we would not crate him at night. Young children may become scared of Fuzzy because he jumps up on people to get attention. Obedience training may solve that problem, Fuzzy is eager to please and once he knows what is expected he does his best to comply. Still we think Fuzzy needs training to reach his full potential on the social side. He is a fun little guy and he will spread a lot of joy to his new family.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
