Description:

UPDATE:  Toto is one happy little dog.  We should call him Mr. Charming as he is beyond adorable!  Toto enjoys lounging outside in the sun while you putter around the yard or visit with friends.  He likes to play frisbee (see video), and would like to have a canine playmate, but resides with all senior dogs at this time.  He will cuddle with you on the couch if you let him.  If not, he is happy to chill in his crate or lay contently at your feet.  He minds very well.  Toto is house-broken and sleeps through the night.  He is crate trained and goes into his crate on his own, although he probably doesn't need it once he knows the house routines.  We were told Toto can be vocal when he doesn't get attention, but in the foster home he has been very quiet and happy.  The whole scary shelter scene may have been his reason for being vocal.  Toto likes to snuggle and gives kisses.  He is super sweet and would fit into a variety of households.  This fuzzy-faced little guy is lookin' for some lovin'.  The lucky family that adopts Toto will not be disappointed.  Could that be you?

Toto is new so we have more to learn about this cute little guy. He has wiry whiskers around his mouth and nose and is so very adorable!  Not sure what his breed mix is.  Toto is very thin and has long thin legs.  He may be a yorkie/beagle mix or JRT/beagle?  What we have learned about Toto is that he is very friendly with people and dogs, and tries hard to please.  He is such a little gentleman!  He was very good for grooming and stood perfectly still.  He calmly waits for his turn to be petted or receive a treat.  Toto is very smart and learns new commands quickly.  He loves to go for walks, and although he does pull some, is learning very quickly how to heel and 'wait' at road crossings.  When outside looking around, he sometimes whines as if he is missing his former family...how sad!  He has had only a couple accidents in the home, but that is understandable since everything is new and he was just neutered.  He has caught on very quick to going outside with the other dogs.  He received all his shots, was neutered, and had the dew claws removed.  In some of the photos he is wearing bandages following dew claw removal.  This little guy is so deserving of a family to love him and fill the emptiness in his little heart.  Please consider whether Toto can fill a spot in your heart.  If you have questions about Toto or would like to meet him, email his foster mother at j-jarrett@att.net .

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
