Description:

Meet Buster Brown. A sweet man he is. Buster Bown is a young man with an old soul. He loves romping and playing but is very calm and relaxed most of the time. He loves affection and is exactly what anyone needs when looking for a companion. When Buster Brown first came to us he had no clue what toys were but he has come to like his tennis balls. Buster Brown is crate trained and loves taking his naps in there as well. Buster Brown is also 100% house broken as well. Buster Brown overall has no bad qualities. He rarely comes on the furniture unless he is very excited to see you. He is allowed on our furniture and even after tons of encouragement he doesn't want to; so we leave that choice up to him. Buster Brown does need help with any commands you may want him to know. He is getting better with come but it takes nothing but a few classes or practice to teach him. He aims to please so anything he needs to know he will most likely learn very quickly. On the plus side Buster Brown is great on a leash so you can take him on strolls whenever you like with no troubles. Buster Brown loves being outdoors, even just relaxing he prefers to be out; so he does require an adopter with a fenced in yard.

Buster Brown was the victim of a drive by and dump. He was dumped in a rural area of large lots and horses. He was dumped with another dog (small black dog) that the neighbors took in, Buster Brown has been cared for, vetted and loved by a family that has tried to find a home for him. But being the South (North Caroline) there are so many dogs and too few people willing to take a lost soul in. A kind rescue friend shared his story with LDDR and he is soon coming to us on transport.

He loves to hang with humans when they garden and really loves to run behind them as they ride their horses. He stays on their land and has no desire to run away or roam. A happy guy that loves people. loves to give tummy!  Buster Brown is described by the family caring for him as the perfect dog! He is still a puppy with tons of puppy energy. Please apply for him to day and make him your forever buddy!

UPDATE: We have found out Buster loves kids and other dogs now that he is in a loving foster home.   He is much smaller then he looks only about 30 pounds but what a sweet boy he is !!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
