Description:
Axle is an awesome dog! He is one of the best fosters I have ever had. Axle would do great in just about any situation since he is quite easy going about everything. He loves to be near people and loves his cuddle time but if you want to be left alone he is fine with just being near you. He gets along great with every dog and cat he's been around and loves people and children. He's very gentle and mild mannered but loves to play, especially fetch. He is crate trained but does not need to be crated. Axle walks very well on a leash and is working on learning new commands. He knows sit, stay, down and shake and is willing to learn more...all he wants to do is please and he only barks when their is a reason to. I believe he would do well in a home with or without other animals or children and would make some lucky person/family a wonderful forever companion!
Axle is a Shepherd mix and is approx. 1 1/2 yrs old and weighs 40 lbs. Axle is brand new but so far we have found he is a very sweet boy that is very well behaved. He loves people and gets along great with other dogs of all sizes both male and female and does great with cats. Axle is housebroke, walks well on a leash, rides great in a car and is crate trained. He is very loyal and wants to hang close by you. He loves to play but is not overly energetic and is perfectly content laying on his dog bed when inside. Axle is very smart and lovable and is ever so greatful to be out of the shelter and he would love you forever if you gave him a place to call home! If you are interested in Axle please email Angie at moparangie@comcast.net Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Axle-ADOPTED-8.14.11 (click to see larger version):
