Update 8/6/11
Buddha is such a sweet little guy. His personality is so funny too. He really enjoys his time with his foster brothers and loves to run around with them and play with his toys. Just recently, Buddha got visit from a 3 year old human and he did great and gave lots of kissies. He did not nibble or bite him, but he still needs to learn not to jump on the little ones. Buddha is still looking for his forever home and hopefully finds it soon with you? He is getting very attached to his foster brothers...

Buddha should go into a an active home or home with younger dogs or dogs that are still up for playing. He has the typical puppy playdrive, but still loves to just come and couddle up with you.
Buddha is also crate trained. Please cntact Aileen at aklebba@comcast.net if you have any questions about this cute little guy.

Update 7/12/11
Buddha is now in a temporary home and does great there. He gets along great with the fosters own dogs. He is really smart and learns quickly. After on accident in the home on the first day, he has had no more accidents and is starting to understand the word "potty". He definatly likes to chew and understands "no" when he is grabbing the wrong things. He also listens very well to his name. Buddha is your typical puppy, but he also enjoys downtime with his humans. He just likes to cuddle up right next to you on the couch and will stay there until you get up. He does like to follow his humans around and that will probably become less once he gets more used to his environemnt. He also seems to have a great sence of protecting his humans. When he hears unusual noise, he will alert you with barking, but he is not a crazy barker...just when he feels danger is coming...his bark is ver cute :) He walks good on the leash but would also profit from training.

He is truley a GREAT puppy and would be great for any first time dog owners, but would also love a sibling or two...

Buddha is a 4 1/2 month old terrier mix who is currently staying at Camp Bow Wow. Buddha loves playing with other dogs at the day care but is hoping for a new home and an owner that can give him more one-on-one time. As with all puppies he could benefit from training, exercise, and a home to call his own. He's a very quick learner, does well in a crate, and can easily be directed to chew toys rather than things he shouldn't. He loves playing with dogs and loves children and given his young age could be introduced to cats with supervision.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
