Little Miss Crumpet found herself is a terrible situation.. lost and alone after a tornado hit her home. She was found wondering in one of the worst areas of destruction in after NC was hit by one of this seasons tornado's. She was held in the shelter her allotted time.. and time was up. Last Day Dog  rescue as notified 1:30 that she only had until 2:00 to live. So we asked everyone we could in NC to help save her. The shelter gave her a stay of excursion and a kind friend to shelter animals drove over and hour to get her to safety. She has been waiting at a doggy boarding awaiting transport. Miss crumpet will arrive in her foster home on May 29th.

Crumpet is a healthy, happy, grateful pup. She is a Plott hound... (not really a "hound") they are small and delicate and a breed that love to cuddle. Know for their intelligent and loyalty. We expect her to be around 35lbs when full grown. Crumpet loves being with all kinds of dogs but is also very content all on her own. She is 99% house trained. Has not had any accidents in her foster home for weeks. that last % is just what can be expected once you adopt and she transitions. She is extreamly attentive and adores being with people. Great in cars and loves to nap near you. She curls into a small donut with all her legs tucked in... looking like a tiny dog. So cute. She is brindled and very unusual for this area. A very special dog!

Crumpet is good with kids and does well with all her foster brother and sister, she knows how to sit , she is working on sit and wait for food . She is doing very well on not jumping . she also knows down but we are working on becoming better at it . she is also working on waiting at the door . She is a typical playful puppy , she loves her walks and is an excellent swimmer . She is young so she needs to be reminded of what us humans expect  from her . She will benefit from a puppy training class as with any puppy . She is such a sweet puppy and would like to find her forever home. She will make a good addition to any family

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
