Description:

Willow is a big beautiful young girl. Because of her age she needs a family who is willing and able to exercise her on a daily basis. Giving her an outlet for her puppy energy and teaching her how to be her best self. Being young, she has the willingness to learn so far she knows Sit, Come, Down, Out (for out of the room), Outside, and No. Willow takes treats gently and walks great with a gentle harness walker. She’s been taught to sit before her food is put down on the floor in front of her. Willy is devoted to her people and is more than happy to cuddle with you and take in any love you are willing to give. If you want a dog to play fetch with Willow is your girl, she loves her squeaky tennis balls and even tries to throw them back at you as she is dropping them at your feet for you to throw again.

Willow is completely housetrained and crate trained.  She is kept in a crate while her family is away with some treats and toys and does very well. She has also spent time in larger areas such as a laundry room and kitchen without any chewing issues while the foster family is away also. Larger areas should be taken under advisement until she is totally out of the chewing phase as she has been known to chew on a blanket or couch pillow if left alone too long. Bored puppies can get into trouble. With time and patience she will indeed grow out of this habit. Also exercise is always a wonderful way to keep young dogs out of trouble. Willow is friendly with everyone but has recently been touch and go with other dogs. We recommend she go to a family where she is an only dog. More attention and physical contact for her from her human family, yay!  If you feel that you can give this wonderful girl the right home, please fill out an application.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
