Cobo would do best in either an active home as an only dog where he would get walked and has a yard to run and play in or in a home with another dog that likes to play and rough house.  Other dogs that may not like to play rough at times may not appreciate how Cobo plays.  He likes playing tug of war with other doggies. He is great with dogs with his same energy level when it comes to playing. Cobo knows the Alpha male and female in his foster home and tends to just leave them alone.  He is very mellow and sweet and will follow you everywhere and lay by your feet but yet he still will need to burn off some energy.  He is very loyal and listens well.  He loves his toys - especially taking the stuffing out of them.  He would make the perfect companion for someone.

Cobo has a sad story and when one of our kind volunteers heard she took this wonderful dog in right away from where he was. Poor Cobo was seen hanging around the cementary and he would not leave, Story is from the workers there that a man had died and been buried there a couple of weeks ago and Cobo would not leave the grave area or his owner who had passed on . Another visitor threatened to shoot him if they didn't get rid of him ! Not only is this handsome shepherd mix boy loyal but he is housebroken, good with kids and other dogs , good on the leash , crate trained and has a wonderful personality! Please make his life happy and secure again .

Cobo loves to be right by his fosters  side.  He will nudge me with his nose to be petted.  He knows how to shake and takes treats gently.  In just over the week teh foster has  seen  him come  totally come out of his shell.  He was so sad, scared and nervous but now he is playing with the other dogs.  He runs around the yard with the other dogs.  He likes to give kisses and he follows me everywhere and just wants to be by my side.  He is very sweet and very friendly with people.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
