Sweet Stunning was a lucky pup as her mom was rescued and given a safe place to have her babies. She was adopted when she was about 10 weeks old to a nice, kind family. Unfortunately, they did not have the ability to deal with her grown up puppy behavior. They lived in a condo without a yard so Stunning was limited to walks to burn her energy, she was taken to doggie day care and she loved it, but expensive for every day. They made the choice to return her to the rescue. As in our adoption contract to do. It how we keep our promise to all our dogs that they will never see the inside of a shelter! She must have loved them very much because when they dropped her off at her foster home, she howled as if in pain and it took several moments to hold her back from running after them. Heartbreaking! She has grown attached to her foster mom and will grow equally attached to her next family.
Since she has been back with her foster she has been a wonderful pup! She plays well with all the other dogs and loves to sleep at her foster mom’s feet. Stunning knows many basic commands and is a very sweet, soft and cuddly, A pleasure to have in most any family. We do recommend training classes so she will lean to walk well on a lead and be more attentive and less distracted when given commands. (Distraction is very common for a 9 month pup). She is happy girl who very much would like a forever home. And active adopter or a fenced yard would be great for her. Great in car rides and barks very little. Not a fan of crates but can be trusted to not chew and is potty trained. Please make Stunning your new best friend! Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
