Description:
Boba Fett is a great, fun loving dog! He has a good amount of energy, so he would do well in an active home. He would make an excellent running partner! He is a bit shy at first, but warms up to everyone pretty quickly. He is good with other dogs and they help him get over his shyness at times. He would do best in a home with another dog. He loves to play and likes to chase all the other doggie friends in the yard. Boba is trained on an invisible fence. He would need some type of fenced in yard, for he does have a good nose on him. He likes to chase the cats around his foster home. He does leave them alone once you tell him. With the right training he may be fine in a home with cats but I think it would be best if he didn't have cats around. Boba is good with kids, but he does have a lot of energy and will jump up and knock little ones down. He doesn't like it when kids pull/drag him by his collar, so he would be better in a home with older kids. He loves for the kids in the house to chase him around. Boba likes to tease the kids with the doggy toys and make them run all over the place chasing him until they are both tired! Boba knows some basic commands and would benefit from obedience training. He is highly food motivated and very eager to please. Boba is active, but once the energy is played/walked out of him, he will curl up with the kids or the others dogs and just lay quietly while the kids watch tv. He likes to snuggle. He especially likes to snuggle with a blanket! He is housebroken and not had one accident in the house. He barks at the door and will jump up to let you know he has to go potty. He is crate trained also. Boba is looking for a great family who will Love him unconditionally and with another dog to play with/look up to.
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
