Description:

11/1/2010: Minnie is a FANTASTIC GIRL!!  Minnie has been living with her foster mom, doggie brother and kitty sisters for about 5 months now.  She if spayed and fully vetted.  She loves to play with her foster brother Dash, who is also a Last Day Dog Rescue dog. Minnie gets along great with dogs, is very social, and not much of a barker. She had a little bit of interest in the cats when she first got there, she chased them for a bit, like the usual “dog-cat” relationship, but it was all very playful and curious.  Now she ignores them.  She is very housebroken and well mannered. Her foster mom only had to tell her once to stay off the couch. Minnie found a way to sneak out of her yard, so her foster mom kept her on a tie-out.  This is only because her foster mom’s fence does not go all the way to the ground.  A regular chain link fence would be just fine and would not need a tie-out. Minnie is very eager to please.  If the cats make a mess in the house while her foster mom is gone, Minnie is the first one to curl up her tail and apologize even though it’s not her fault!  Minnie is wonderful with kids. She runs around with them until she gets tired, runs to sit next to you as close as possible to rest for a bit, and then will start all over again.  She is a lover!  She pulls a bit on the leash when the walk first begins, but she quickly slows down and walks great.  I literally cannot say enough good things about how wonderful she is!

9/1/2010: Look at that face ! Have you ever seen such a sad and frightened face like this before on a dog ?  Minnie is in a high kill shelter because her owners lost their home and jobs . She has always known love . kindness and the security of a home now she is in a dark noisy high kill shelter and she is wondering where her people are. She was raised with other dogs and children and is housebroken . She is a nice dog and deserves to live in a home again not end her life in this shelter please help her !

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
