12-20-2010 UPDATE: 
He is a very loving 9 month old, all black with a little white patch on his chest.  He is about 40 pounds and already neutered.  He loves to fetch and run around.  Good with people and other dogs especially playful dogs.  Like all Puppies he needs lots of attention and would benefit from puppy training.  He would love to have a big yard of his own or perhaps play dates at a dog park.
 
Harrison came to us in June with his Beatles siblings. Next on the kill list in an over crowded shelter in GA. Being there almost 2 months with few people adopting. The death row litter was saved by a fosters moms son and daughter and a very crowded SUV (26 puppies drove all the way to Michigan to be saved)
 
Harrison was adopted by a family who has a pocket dog and a small apartment.  The situation has not been the best for Harrison and as our contract stipulates. If it does not work out. Our dogs are to come back to us. a week before Christmas they called us and asked us to find him another home.. a forever home we pray.
 
So we are now asking Santa... please help Harrison find a warm, loving home with people that will have the time, patience, space and energy for a pup who just wants to play!!!! and... maybe a few toys too!
 
 
Meet Harrison. Though I only have one picture at the moment he's a great guy.  Likes to cuddle but only for a minute and does take a little while before warming up to people. He has figured out that when I say time for bed they all have to go back to their pen, and he does not agree. Listens when called. Hears and sees everything. Very even tempered and mild mannered. These little guys look like small pups, but really they are over four months old. Mom was a 20 lb. Manchester Terrier, we have no idea who dad was. They are about 20lbs. now and should not get any bigger then 35-40 lbs. to be on the small side
 of Medium. This pup and it's siblings were rescued from an overfilled shelter in Georgia, being all black, they had little chance of being adopted. There are so many black pups and everyone loves the blonde's! Rescue came just in time for them. As they were there the longest and to next to be put down! They spent almost 6 long weeks at the shelter before rescue arrived The five last ones out of a litter of 10! One of our fosters son and daughter realizing how many pups would have to be put down at this shelter in the next week or two, took on the 14 hour drive each way to save as many as they could... 26 in all. They have been in Foster care for another long 6 weeks and really, really want a forever home. Their foster mom LOVES them all but can't give them the time and individual attention they so need and want! Spending so much of their puppyhood waiting for that special someone or special family to find them! They have been exposed to many awful puppy illnesses and have all made it through with no single sign of illness. Strong little pups! They are up to date with shots and perfectly healthy. They would be
thrilled if you filled an application for them and asked for a meet and greet in their Ann Arbor foster home. Please consider making this sweet fur baby your fur-ever dog!


Harrison loves to play fetch and is darn good at it. He brings the ball/toy back every time and will play for hours.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children.
