Description:

Little Miss Tequila is a perfect little love. She was hit pretty hard with a cough/cold. It turned to Pneumonia and she was so sick! She was a perfect little patient. Didn’t flinch when she had to have shots and sat calmly as fluid was placed under her coat. She was spoiled being held and hand feed for a few days. Even got to sleep beside her foster mom. Reserved only for sick little ones and her own forever dogs. Miss Tequila was so tired that her foster mom didn't bother to latch the cage… sometime in the middle of the night tequila tip toed out and found her place at the foot of the bed beside a bunch of much bigger dogs. In the morning, giving a wag saying, I’m all better!  The once quiet and sad little puppy is now all happy and alive! Rolls in the grass and barks a quiet little happy tune.

She was rescued with her other siblings Bernetts, Bacardi, and Smirnoff.  They are one of the sweetest set of pups their foster has had the pleasure of caring for (they have fostered many, many litters). All of them are playful, yet calm. They give licks and have yet to nibble fingers. Often times you can find one awake when the rest are sleeping just keeping watch. They notice simple things like a bird overhead, a sprinkler in the next yard or bugs on the ground.  Not overly barky but very aware! They are a true lab personality, watchful, playful, loyal and smart!

She and his siblings were rescued from an overfilled shelter in Georgia, being all black, they had little chance of being adopted.  So many black pups and everyone loves the blondes! Rescue came just in time for them. On their way to Michigan they caught colds and a cough.  Medicated the day they arrived, they had a fighting chance; left there they would have been put down at the first sign of sickness. Tequila was the sickest of them all but made a total and happy recovery!

Miss Tequila is loving life in her Northville Foster home, but really, really wants to find a forever home so she can share all her puppy joy with her forever family! If you're looking for someone to give you unconditional love make Tequila your little girl!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
