Description:

Ruby is a sweet girl that has had unkind people scare her in her past. She is an American Stafford Terrier that is looking for her next love. She has fallen in love with her transporter/rescuer who cannot keep her. She is loyal and loves belly rubs, walks, cuddling and hanging out around bonfires and just chilling watching TV or lying at your feet while you play video games. Her needs are small: a kind person, a safe home, some food, some water and lots of love that she will be sure to give you in return.

Ruby was rescued from Georgia. She didn’t have long. The shelter was overcrowded and they needed room.  Having been passed over time and time again. She was giving up hope. Only 11 months old and her short life was about to end. Then… a big white SUV came and took all the cute little puppies and a fluffy pup named Flower, her best friend.  It didn’t look like there was any room for a big pup… once again passed over.  But, wait... there was one more space. A tiny cramped place.  She climbed in happily… as it was hope to her. Hope that she would get out of the shelter ALIVE. Hope that she will have a happy life and find some special person to look at her big round face and look back at her with the same love she has to give to her someday forever person.

Ruby is potty trained 95%. A new home is so confusing! She walks well on a lead and doesn’t mind the crate at all. She gets along with all her foster siblings... there are all kinds, old ones, silly ones and even growling ones. She doesn’t mind them at all! She even has made two kitty friends. One teases her. She lets the cat rub against her and lick her ears. She has all her shots and even knows how to sit.

Yep, Ruby is a happy girl. Almost forgetting her sad past. She’s easy to meet at her Northville foster home and wants to find a home soon so she can celebrate her one year of LIFE in her forever home with her forever humans!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
