Description:

Shane is a beautiful Sheltie mix with a long, soft coat. His front paws are white and make him look like he is wearing socks- which are his favorite thing to run off with at his foster home!

He loves to hang around his foster family, both indoors and out. He is very loving and affectionate and he will occasionally get in your lap, on the bed, or next to you on the couch.  

This sweet boy has a gentle disposition, but is still playful like a puppy!   He likes to chew on dog bones, chase balls around the yard, and play with other dogs. He will bark at the doorbell, strangers and loud noises (like fireworks), but quiets quickly and is not at all “yappy.”

Shane is inquisitive, but short in stature, and so he tries to peek above counters and work surfaces to see what you are doing.   His foster family is working with him on this, and he is showing fast improvement.  

He enjoys being outside and walks well on a leash. He rides calmly and quietly in the car, and seems to enjoy being chauffeured around. He is learning new commands, takes treats gently, and is doing very well with crate training.   

Shane is completely housebroken, has not had any accidents at his foster home, and gets along with cats and dogs.   His foster family has older kids and he has not been observed with little ones yet, however, he does not jump on humans.

He is neutered and up-to-date with all his shots.

Shane is a fantastic dog with good manners and deserves a wonderful home where he will be loved and cherished for life!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.
